Are you 14-19? Step into the shoes of a radio broadcaster with Riverside Radio - learn how to conduct and edit an interview for live radio broadcasts and get on air!

APPLY NOW

Session 1:

First, we'll share a bit of background on Wandsworth Arts Fringe and explore the 2023 programme.

Then Riverside Radio reporters will talk you through how to prepare for an interview based on a press release and how to plan out questions that will engage the listener and help get the key messages across.

During this session each Young Reporter will be assigned an act from the Wandsworth Arts Fringe programme, and with help from some of the Riverside Radio Arts team, we will give you some tricks of the trade and make sure you are ready and excited for your interview.

Session 2:

In the follow up session, each Young Reporter will interview their act in the Riverside Radio studio.

You will learn how to set up the mics and recording software for the interview and have an introduction to editing an interview, so it is ready to be broadcast live on air.

Finally, the Young Reporters will attend a Creative Networking Session with support staff where they will network with artists in the industry and explore careers in the arts on Sun 25 June, the last day of the festival.
