Cygnet Players are proud to present Bill Naughton’s classic play, Alfie.
The ultimate amoral "swinger", Alfie Elkins swaggers and philosophises his way through a parade of women in 1960's London, allowing the audience to eavesdrop as he goes. When one carefree entanglement proves too close for even Alfie's comfort, this self-styled playboy lands back down to Earth with a thud.
A hit in London, this story became a classic film that made a star of Michael Caine as the title cad, and was remade in 2004 with Jude Law in the title role. Come along and find out what it’s all about! As Alfie himself says, “no, I've never done it. But it might be worth a try.”
