WAF Young Reviewers

Want to see free theatre, dance, circus, exhibitions, spoken word performances and more - and get your reviews published? Join our 2024 cohort of WAF Young Reviewers and get mentored by a professional writer, access free tickets for Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2024 events, and see your reviews published on our website. Sessions May - July 2024.

The project begins with a workshop session at Theatre 503 to find out about this year’s festival and explore how to write your own reviews with a creative professional. Then you get to choose which performances you’d like to attend and review. There are performances every day of the festival at different times and in different locations, and there are also online/digital events you can review.  You will be given two free tickets for each performance, and you are welcome to bring a friend or relative along with you.

This year, we’re leaving the format up to you – the review could be written, recorded as a video or podcast, or you can come up with a whole new format!

Read last year’s reviews by WAF Young Reviewers here.

What will I need to do?

  1. Attend two in person workshops, one to learn about Wandsworth Arts Fringe, and one on how to write your own reviews – this will be led by a professional writer who will tell you all you need to know.

  3. Write a short review of each performance you attend, and go through editing with the creative leader.
