E33, Wandsworth’s local contemporary ballet company, brings an offering of hope and light after the darkness.
Celebrating 10 years of community involvement, youth mentorship and professional touring, E33 invites the audience to soak in honest storytelling, beautiful dance and the glow of 100 LED candles.
Director Rachel Riveros weaves together personal stories and collaborative choreography with local and international artists. Works premiered during Covid lockdowns and developed over 2 years of shifting restrictions come together in a celebration of triumph and perseverance; honest victory; and gutting challenge. The show draws together colour, light, movement, and artistry in an experience that will lift up the soul.
The professional company features works by Randall Flinn (Houston, TX), home-brewed collaborations (Rachel Riveros, Dan Cossette, Hulya Levent, Zoë Tsim), up-and-coming choreographer Honor Dixon, and a premiere by Henrique Fernandes. Nine Elms children’s outreach project will showcase and the youth and artist development company E33 II will present full works by company members.
See the dark and the ashes, and be lifted on the symphonic offering of movement, strength, beauty and light.
We’re gonna be okay.
