'Our Other Mother 2.0' is a project that explores our connections with the natural world and “Our Other Mother”- Planet Earth.

'Our Other Mother' seeks to change the story Western civilisation has been telling for centuries: of nature as a machine and source of resources humans can use indefinitely. This narrative has led to the current crisis of climate breakdown and biodiversity loss; it is also affecting our mental health and wellbeing as it separates us from not only the living world, but each other.

During our art workshop, we will co-create a work of art made of the natural objects - chalk, pebbles, sticks, wooden pellets, hay. The workshop will be facilitated by a local artist whose work is strongly influenced by nature - Gail Dickerson and a local mom passionate about nature, environment and climate - Marta Zietkiewicz. No previous preparation is required.
