Join us for a night of journalism, comedy and improv. Hear exclusive stories told by journalists for the first time. Meet a real-life war correspondent, a mudlark, a stand-up comedian and The Plague Doctor, face-to-face.

And watch out for breaking news…

Other acts include true tales of online dating as a gay South Asian man, the highs and lows of getting on the housing ladder in Wandsworth and the drama of being a plus-size actor.

News Cabaret is part of the News on Stage project exploring journalism and theatre. The project is an experiment that harks back to the ‘town crier’, but also borrows from 1930s agitprop, Living Newspapers and modern ‘verbatim’ theatre. To find out more go to:

The show will be approximately 1 hour 30, including a 10 minute interval. We hope you’ll stay to meet us and chat inside and outside the venue.

BYOB! Feel free to bring your own drinks with you (alcohol is fine) including bottled water. Refreshments won't be provided.
