Birthdays are celebrated worldwide, we laugh with the friends we've made so far and cherish previous adventures. What if we turned that concept on its head? What if once a year we also looked into the future? What would change if we were more familiar with our end?
A joyous, interactive performance lecture. This show looks into how different cultures deal with death, fascinating new developments, perks and flaws of the funeral industry, and how we can plan to have a good death. There is a small arts and crafts activity, so you get to take home a souvenir.
DO BRING A SMARTPHONE AND EAR/HEADPHONES TO THE SHOW WITH YOU!
After the show there is a 30 minute death café with end of life doula Sabrina Singh. Sabrina will facilitate a guided conversation about death, inspired by the curiosity of the participants.
Warning: This event encourages open conversations about death and grief, which some audiences may find upsetting.
