Duckpond: An Element of Mystery in Umpteen Slides

The war is over: there is peace in our times.

Within the bunkers of Putney Arches, Ciaran and Kit, two former members of the now defunct First Storey Duckpond Conservation and Unity Planning Board, invite you to reflect on our recent history and coming future with an evening of storytelling, music, and military precision. Come and revisit your favourite pieces of duckpond propaganda and help bring duckpond management into the modern world.

In the centenary year of the November Armistice, Duckpond tells a story of environmentalism, community, and resilience in the aftermath of crisis. Set against an original soundtrack drawn from 20th century British folk and electronic music, Ciaran and Kit lead the audience through a sequence of memories, theories and recorded fragments, in order to rebuild the relationship between people and their local duckponds.

Duckpond: An Element of Mystery in Umpteen Slides is presented by First Storey Productions, a new theatre collective based in Wandsworth and Streatham. First Storey Productions is founded on a commitment to sustainability, collaboration, inclusiveness and community engagement as key drivers in producing innovative, dynamic, democratic and original drama.
