Marion Molteno is a prize-winning novelist. Her new novel, Uncertain Light, set in Central Asia in the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union is described by The Bookseller as, 'A terrifically absorbing, topical and quietly affecting novel of interlocking worlds and relationships'. It also introduces readers to the great traditions of Urdu and Persian poetry, extracts of which form a commentary to the story.
Her fiction expresses the breadth of her life experience. Growing up in South Africa, and opposing the apartheid regime, she has also worked with multi-ethnic communities in the UK and was a senior policy advisor for Save the Children, working with vulnerable children in Asia and Africa.
